Oight oight dear biddies, sleep well and the pups!
Yay, I've lost 2.5 kilos!!!
It's okay Neti, I found it you can have it back
Thought I would just pop in and see how you all are .
We've had a great day here .Birthday cake and coffee ,Chinese meal and lots of laughs. Plenty of booze and loud singing of Udo Jürgens songs because Mr S was 66
In Germany this is what they call a Schnapszahl birthday .Double figures .And Udo sang a song about this .
I won't bore you with it all.
I'm sure you're not in the least bit interested .

The fact that a dress is blue is far more important ....so I'll bugger off for now ..

Take care and be happy .See you all sometime xxxx
Happy Birthday to Mr.S. Sounds like you all had a wonderful day -Cheers xxxxx
Morning Dolly and all others. Brr so cold here today 7° which may be positively boiling to you lot (cept Dolly) but it's a cold damp island which makes it so much colder. Stopped raining for a while and then bucketed down again all night, and yes I had left a thick towel on the line to air!!!!

Defo cutting back on food now.

Have to watch Call the Midwife tonight as my internetTV wasn't working last night.
Shaney many happy returns to Mr S and many more of them. It sounds like you had a lovely time, come back soon and tell us the rest. Were the visitors a surprise for Mr S?

Patio man has just texted to say he doesn't want to start today as we have snow forecast, in fact it snowed a bit here about half an hour ago but melted fast. He knows that because of the dogs, I really don't want him to have to stop once he starts because of limiting the dogs' access to the garden.
Just as well really I had a dreadful night last night, bad thoughts, bad dreams when I did sleep, sweats and dizzys.

anyway a little snooze i think....
Good morning Everybiddy. I'm happy for you that Mr S had a lovely birthday. It sounded a really good time.
And Shaney I forgot to tell you Lottie is still 'sobbing'. I've forgotten what it was about but I reckon you'll remember, it was prob about the colour of the dress, not sure.
Watched the tennis yesterday...did anyone else. What a match!
My NF came round last evening for a quick Baileys coffee. she has had her knee op and is hobbling a bit but she think's she'll be ok. Not dancing just yet though!
Sorry about your bad night Woofy hope tonight is a better one. I get them very rarely thank goodness. I used to have nightmares when I was very young and can still remember sometimes about them. I was very 'highly strung' as the saying goes and my mind is still always on the go. I am able to relax with all sorts of things but it can still veer off occasionally even when I'm doing that.
My brother had a chat to me on Saturday night, he's lovely and really cares about me.
Hi Dolly good to see you again. Hope it's not too hot at the moment for you still.
School today and a bit of shopping. I need apples and still haven't found an ideal one to go in my porridge in the morning. Any suggrestions. I like to buy British and am just in the process of buying a different one everytime.

Have a good day all - Laters 'gaters
Happy Birthday to mr s xx

<picks up neti's lost 2.5 kilos and sticks it on chest>....oooph! maybe not....help me up please...

Morning all...very cold here but the frost disappeared quickly which sometimes is a sign of snow...
I slept really well considering I went to bed on sad news...an aunt is very ill (in Gt Yarmouth hospital) and not expected to recover, it'll leave just 2 out of six on my dad's side. We're not close really, we just sort of hear about them through our nearest uncle. It's a shame though because when all the older relatives are gone you become the older relatives don't you? Apart from the uncle there's only one family of cousins who really keep in touch.

Didn't watch the tennis Jude, I can't bear the squeaking feet on that surface...I wasn't really bothered about who might win 'cos I'm not a fan of either but what an epic match, well done! They put those namby 45 mins each way footballers to shame.. <ducks>.. haha.

Well I'm interested shaney, glad you all enjoyed it... did you have the neighbours bangin on the wall? :o)
Happy Birthday to Mr S...clickety click!
Robi sorry about your relative. I have 3 elderly relatives in their 80s so I'm not quite there yet.

The rest of your post gave me a good laugh I have to say.! Just picked up the Woman's Weekly!! Slap!!
Derby play Forest next Sunday - could be fun... will you be interested then!!

Haven't read about the Florida serious pile-up yet Neti.
morning all, I was in Gainesville a week ago on that freeway, but avoided pileups. Only got into one, on the way back to the airport yesterday when a sweet old couple on their way to church managed to run into our back bumper at the trafffic lights. Only about 2mph but so many forms to fill out; modern bumpers as you know are made of paella and fall apart if you glare at them. But we were fully insured so hopefully will hear no more about it. A few days earlier in Key West we lost a purse - lost stolen or strayed, anyway - and oh the trouble we had trying to cancel credit cards, would not get through to the uK numbers on either a landline or a mobile. Eventually emailed jno jnr and got him to do it all from the UK end.

So not the greatest holiday, but at least the weather was nice until yesterday when the heavens opened over Miami. Still, it should be nice and mild in Britain this week?

Will try to catch up with everyone's posts later in the week but am feeling a bit snoozy now.

I just might keep one eye on the scores Jude :o)

Welcome back jno, glad you're home safe and sound. Yes, you've a balmy minus 10C to look forward to this week.
Yay, welcome back jno! I told you to wear a bumbag, keeping all jewels and monies safe.
we have made inquiries now we're home and it seems the credit cards were used for $100 fuel purchases. Couldn't have been our car, which only held $35 worth. Some of the purchases were signed for, but a lot of these signatures in the USA are electronic ones - you try to scribble your name on a screen with a fake pen and it comes out looking nothing like your real signature, but nobody cares. Anyway, the cards are cancelled (they don't know why we couldn't get through to them from Florida) and hopefully we won't be charged for fraudulent claims.

Not really sure how the purse got stolen in the first place, though, it was in a zipped handbag.
Welcome back Jno. sorry about your card fraud but I hope other than that your holiday was a good one.

I'm off to watch University Challenge in a bit to see if I can score more than 2 or 3 ponts.

School was great and I worked with 8 children today, Only one morfe week then it's half term. times flying again.

Just listening to Paul Jones blues programme on BBC2 about Etta James. I really like his proogramme on Monday night.
Hope you all have a good night. Keep warm..
Morfe week that sounds good :¬}
jno, I lost a purse from a zipped handbag if you remember a coup0le of months ago. We have those awful electronic signing things, awful, just cannot sign properly.

Am watching "Midwife" goodie!
